Sally Bolton, Cyber Human Risk Manager

The Cyber Escape Room experience was a game-changer for our security awareness training. Our teams were fully engaged, with participants describing the sessions as 'actually fun' - something you rarely hear about cybersecurity training.

The interactive scenarios sparked meaningful conversations about password security, multi-factor authentication, and insider risks. We ran multiple sessions across different teams, and the impact was immediate. One participant even changed all their passwords right after the session!

The games weren't just entertaining; they were a powerful tool for driving home critical security messages. We saw people discussing password managers, understanding social engineering risks, and becoming more cyber-aware. It's not just training - it's an experience that genuinely changes behaviour.

Andy Bagnall, ciso

This was our first time running cyber escape rooms at The Telegraph, and we were blown away. Word spread so quickly we ended up with a waiting list, and people were stopping me in the corridor to tell me how much they loved it. We achieved 97% positive feedback and 94% of colleagues said they'd definitely do it again.

Many expected it to be technical, but the experience was hands-on, accessible, and genuinely fun. The puzzles and props brought the learning to life in a way that traditional training just doesn't. It's entertaining, memorable, and makes key cyber behaviours stick.

We've now built this into our ongoing L&D and cyber awareness programme and are already planning our next round of sessions. A huge thank you to The Cyber Escape Room Co for transforming our training... in the best possible way.

We ran the first of what will be many events that raise security awareness within the company in a really fun and informative way. Feedback from the participants was extremely positive and off the back of that we are overbooked for the next two. Cyber doesn't (always) have to be boring, and it NEVER is when Amy's in the room.

However, thankfully we weren't live because Amy did say Sh*t and B*ll*cks... Davina would be disappointed.

Peabody

Marie Jeffery, BISO

Beyond having enjoyed the game, this was the most impactful messaging we've been able to deliver to support our guidance regarding passwords and use of MFA. The discussions these events have sparked within the Peabody workforce have demonstrated a level of impact and understanding we haven't previously achieved.

We look forward to further collaboration with The Cyber Escape Room Co.

The cyber escape room has been excellent. We took it away to Germany and I had five teams of five go through it, all of them thought it was really fun and made them start thinking about their security procedures.

The most interesting parts for me have been during the debriefs at the end. It’s been great to hear of people’s own experiences of being hacked, or dealing with their companies being hacked, and then being able to pull out the similarities between those attacks and what they learnt in the escape room.

It has been critically useful to focus people's attention to the threats, and what they can do to reduce the risk of us being attacked.

Big thumbs up from us!

Matt Hunter, Digital Forensice Manager

We've often struggled for away day activities as we have quite a wide range of staff to accommodate, so some people often lose out. The escape room was a great way to bring the team together inclusively, in a familiar but challenging way.

It definitely ticked our boxes and we will definitely be keeping you in mind for future team-building and away-day activities.

In the words of ebay of old: top company, great comms, fast delivery, items as described. Would definitely recommend. A++.

Everyone enjoyed doing the escape rooms and we had so much positive feedback.

It also brought to life how good security hygiene, such as password management and not over-sharing on social media is so important and made everyone think about good security practices and how they can put this into action daily.

case studies.

How we turned normal humans into security legends.

Peabody: The escape rooms that changed everything.

Peabody, one of the UK's biggest housing associations, was stuck in the classic cyber rut: people knew the rules, but nothing was actually changing. So they swapped slide decks for escape rooms... and everything flipped.

Over a year, 311 colleagues played their way through a mix of hosted and self-run sessions (yes, all from a rucksack-sized kit). The impact? Wild!

98% left with a better understanding of cyber security. 100% would recommend it. And the behaviour shift was real: faster phishing reports, less pushback on standard security tools, more curiosity, more conversations, and an Infosec team suddenly being treated like actual humans.
